Our love story began at Kim’s Grandmother’s house. Kim had just moved from Cape Town and her two cousins Mark and Ashley from Johannesburg. Christopher and Ashley were in the same class and as fate would have it, they became friends. This is how we met.

We were just 11 years old

Of course, being that age there wasn’t any flirting, in fact, to this day, Kim says Christopher was silly and annoying (as most boys are at that age), but we all know , that’s how great love stories start.

As the years progressed and we got older, we attended confirmation classes together, the youth, our church (St Cyprian’s) choir etc. and eventually, after being just friends, decided in the summer of 2002, to start dating. The relationship ended, young love and all… Christopher moved to attend varsity. Kim was in the final year of high school.

Fate stepped again and we found our way back to each other. The rest as they say, is history! A few months ago Christopher popped the question, in a room full of people, on one knee, over a slice of carrot cake with everyone chanting “Say Yes!” and of course, Kim did. We can’t wait for this exciting new chapter to begin!
